Start of the Royal Family

When did the British Royal Family start? and why?
After the Norman invasion in 1066, the Conqueror William ruled England and emerged the line of the current royal family. The British monarchy traces its origins from the early medieval Scotland, where the Conqueror William was formerly from. The Anglo-Norman did not just conqueror Britain, they succeeded in contorting England and many other countries in Europe, as they went on to gradually conquer Wales after they have to England.

Fun Fact:
The Royal Family are way more German than British. They changed their name from its origin Saxe-Coburg Gotha to Windsor, by King George V, in World War I to be more British.
