The royal family through the years

The Royal family in England are popular in many continents, because of their eventful life; full of power, wealth and leadership. They got the whole world intrigued to know more about them, and every single affair. The Royal Family were also formerly known as House of Windsor.

Prince Philip Has to Walk two Steps Behind the Queen in Public

Prince Philip has to walk two steps behind the Queen in public even though he’s her husband.

They have been married for 70 years, but still, the tradition must be strictly followed. This tradition represents the order of hierarchy in the Royal Family.

Ravens Enlisted as Soldiers

The Tower of London is one the most famous places in the UK. Back when King Charles II reigned, he decreed that at least six ravens be kept inside the tower. This superstition still persists today. There are ravens inside the tower, and they have names as well. The King ordered to have ravens inside the tower because a courtier warned him if ravens of the tower were lost or flew away, the Crown and Britain would fall.

Taking a Hostage

The State Opening of Parliament is one of the most dazzling spectacles the British Monarchy has to offer. It is also one of the key events in the calendar year when the best British traditions is on show, including the most bizarre ones. Prior to The Queen arriving at the State Opening, the Royal Household traditionally take a Member of Parliament as a hostage in exchange for The Queen’s safe return
